It's been a while

Wow...It's been like 2 months that I haven't updates my blog...Time flies eh?

At any rate...It's my new semester now...Besides nearly getting screwed over by my Uni again everything else seems to be in order...Sad case though...one of my classes starts at 8am...which is why I'm up this early...and I haven't been up this early in a very, very long time...It's surprising that I can wake up once my alarm sounded off...I can't even do that when I was back in high skool when I have to wake up at 6am everyday : \ Probably cuz I'm now 21 years old and only half the slacker I once was? I would like to think so XD

Christmas and Birthday was as uneventful as ever...nothing out of the ordinary dinner with family plan...then again that's just me : \ and also cuz me and my buds decided we might as well wait for NYE to celebrate 2 occasions in 1 go...And that's what we did...survived the traffic jams of the after party with my phone on music mode most of the time...then again the jam really isn't that bad...it's just that the cops apparently find it fit to funnel the traffic into 1 single lane on the highway...right after 3 other junctions connected with it...I suppose I should thank them for the effort as these road blocks could prevent drug pushers and drunks coming back from the party from driving around like any other drunken idiot do? But can't they set up the road blocks before the highways to prevent such a massive jam? I'm guessing they're gonna give the typical excuse of "not enough manpower", Malaysia truly Asia indeed...but thank heavens right after the road block...traffic is as good as it gets...all the way back to kl at 120 km/h

As for the Aus update I promised...My elder bro is back and is currently hanging around the house enjoying some well deserved rest after graduation...and like he said he would...he brought back them photos that he had taken during our time in Aus...so pix and blog post would be updated soon...

Oh and...a little something for you animation hard-ons...and I don't mean anime animation...just a jap music video that has some really nice animations...

Sem Break!

As the title would suggest...I have finished my finals and is currently on holidays for about 1 week plus now...nothing much has happened but there are some notable stuff to post about I guess...

1st thing I did after my finals is having Max lending me a hand in formatting and cleaning my PC...I'm a NOOB in terms of computers and thx to him most of my computer is back into operating condition in an afternoon...though there are still some softwares missing here and there...but nothing I can't handle on my own (the power of google)...there's not much difference between my PC before and after formatting...but there's one notable difference...the audio simply sounds better for no reason...don't ask me how cuz my friend didn't do anything weird either...that extra bass is simply evident...

The other differences are that I changed my default internet browser to Google Chrome instead of using Firefox again...wanted to try some new stuff...and also changed my winamp's skin to one that matches the current theme I have applied to my Google Chrome...

Pic is here ---> http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b188/AoD22/miku-fied-1.jpg

In case u're wondering what anime is that girl from...she's not...in fact she's a music synthesizer program called Vocaloid...yeah u heard me right...a program...think one of Al Pacino's old movies S1mOne (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S1mone) I can't really explain how the program works in here cuz it would be a drag...and hell I don't understand it either...but for more informations u can read it here ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocaloid

The reason why she's all over my desktop was at 1st...simply eye candy...then I tried some Vocaloid music...which I at first didn't appreciate either...then after a few listen...I'm actually enjoying the music...think Coldplay on estrogen...yeah...I didn't appreciate Coldplay much at 1st either...but now I'm a fan for lack of a better word...

I think the main reason why people would find it hard to appreciate the music at 1st is cuz...it's just different...the music is fully digital...everything from the rhythm to the vocals themselves are created digitally...and anyone who owns the program which is also on sale that knows how to use it...can just create a piece of their own...so most of them wouldn't sound like conventional music...and this Vocaloid thing is still quite new...1st introduced in 2004...currently extremely popular in Japan (place of origin) and spreading...Another thing I have noticed is that most Vocaloid lyrics are telling a story, and mostly have a PV (something like a music video) that comes along with the song...But of cuz this program isn't without its flaws...like any other program...they are programmed to work best in certain situations and stuff...and in this program...different voices are best to be used in their respective genres which were recommended

Here's one song that I would recommend for anyone who's interested...it sounds the closest to conventional music...but it's really good...in fact this is THE song that got me interested in Vocaloid music...

An Update! Finally!

Man...how long has it been? A month? Probably more than that...It's about time I throw another post in here for whoever that's kind enough to drop by my blog and read...pleasure to have u :) A lot has happened and I'm not sure where to start...But I guess I'll just leave out the unimportant stuff...

1st of all...the Taman Negara trip...that was about a month ago already...but it's worth mentioning...that it sucked...bad...It was so damn boring that the only true fun I had would be running my ass off trying to get to shelter before getting caught in the rain...which is approaching from behind...yes...approaching...heck we can already hear the sound of a downpour closing in from behind...and we barely made it...besides that and getting randomly drenched in river water thx to a playful tour guide who is on the boat next to us who splashing water at us when he passed by...the hike was alright though...it would have been better if not for my ass low stamina...which is just pathetic...the experience of the trip was further hampered down by food...the food provided to us aren't even half decent...and by the time we actually decided to pay for better food...and actually found decent food...it's like heaven

2nd...the start of a new semester...and I'm also happy to say that I have passed all subjects I have taken yet again...but the bad news is...I'm stuck with 1 subject for this semester...yet again! But why?! I'll tell u why...I applied for 2 subjects in my course selection...it's a short semester so I should only take 2...1 was accepted...the other rejected...not wanting to waste another semester...I applied for another subject with around 1 week left till the course selection deadline...then the bloody status for applying stays on pending till past the deadline -_________- to tell u the truth that feels so much like trolling...and it's already the 2nd week...some classes are already having their 1st quiz...and I already have my final assignment outline given to me...it's a freaking short semester...in the end i'm forced to drop that subject or risk failing cuz I would have a hard time catching up to whatever the other class is up to...

3rd...ANIMES...I believe that I was suffering from extreme anime overdose since the start of my last sem break...I finished a 74 episode thriller anime in 3 days...another drama anime with about 50 episodes...and some other animes that has been in my external hard disk cuz it's just so damn good that I don't feel like deleting it...>< But I should probably do some hard disk cleanup so free up some space just in case...although it's still only a little more than half full...

4th...games...I just got myself resident evil 5 the other day...it's awesome...but could really really really use some better AI...ur AI partner is so dumb in so many ways that it's just frustrating to list down the details...I'll leave the ranting to whoever that's going to try the game next...and oh...I've been playing Tekken 6 int eh arcades for a while too...I've gotten better but till have much to learn as I still get whupped easily by the more skilled guys...It's fun though...:p

And that's about it...other stuff are probably too insignificant to be mentioned so...

Annoying...oh so annoying...

I just caught myself a cold recently...no worries it's not H1N1...experienced these kinda shit a few times before...can't say I'm too happy to experience it again although it's not the more dangerous counterpart that I'm infected with...Same bloody case again...I got snot flowing backwards to my throat and overtime it turns into flem...causing a hacking cough...

Been coughing like that for a couple of days now...today would be the 3rd...1st day would probably be the most serious as I actually coughed till my throat started to feel painful (experienced it before too, sad to say -_- ) 2nd day...throat is considerably better and coughing less...though it seems to be worse at night...especially during my sleep hours...making me lose some sleep though not totally...3rd day...cough seems even less...looks like I'm well on the way to recovery...

Well I was dead wrong about that...coughing is the worst so far during sleep hours although the sore throat has entirely disappeared...I was coughing so much that I simply can't sleep...it's like every time I get close to sleeping (feeling relaxed and starting to fall asleep) a wake-up call in the form of a damned cough would make me come to my senses...so I kinda spent 4 hours on my bed coughing every 5 minutes to keep myself unwillingly awake...

It's not my 1st time losing sleep, but losing sleep over something like this is just annoying...if there is a level rating for my annoyance it would be over 9000 now...seriously...this is like someone playing a practical joke on me to prevent me from going to sleep...and thx to that...here I sit now typing this blog post for lack of something better to do...annoying...oh how annoying...

Well it's been a while since I blogged anyway...but I've been wanting to say this for a while too...Micheal freaking Jackson...frankly speaking...I just don't get it...people seem to only truly be appreciated when they're actually dead and can't BE appreciated...and such I find the buttloads of people who jumped on the MJ bandwagon more of an insult than honoring the King of Pop...I mean seriously...put urself in his shoes...for the last decade or so I might say people have sort of starting to forsake MJ for his eccentric behaviour save for his hardcore fans...then when he died people start regarding him as a legend...what sort of hypocricy is this?! I've never really liked MJ and my opinion has not changed just cause he's freaking dead...People say I'm heartless but I say it's common sense...you wanna honor somebody then do it when they're alive and kicking...not when they're dead and it already means nothing to them cuz they're 6 feet under and rotting like any other corpse in the world...

A breather

FINALLY.........I was rushing my ass off with assignments lately, and now I finally have a breather...with 2 assignments down and 2 more to go, I am certainly looking forward to that sem break and the end of semester dinner that I'm going to have with my public speaking class, along with the lecturer that I have grown to respect so much...

That aside, another 2 weeks and I'll only need to worry about my psychology paper which I have around 2 weeks free time to study it...I have ample time and opportunity to get my brain filled with what's important so I guess I'm lucky to have that...But damn, I have never rushed that many assignments in such a short time before, and that was hella tiring...it's probably a blessing that next semester would be a short semester, and best of all, I get to go to Australia and visit my dear old brother...

To make things worse

I kinda forgot to include this one on my last post...but a few days ago the primary school that I used to attend was quarantined due to confirmed cases of H1N1...none other than the 'pretigious SJK (c) Jalan Davidson...and a friend of mine is currently teaching there...it's perhaps lucky to say that she seems fine...

And then it was my parents who were down with a sore throat after coming back from a trip to HK...They were wearing face masks for a few days too...gave me a scare but luckily it was ultimately nothing...Then it was a friend of mine who was down for a few days with flu like symptoms...or chicken pox...and haven't really heard from her since...hoping for the best there

Seems like H1N1 is reaching an outbreak level in M'sia currently

Sad story... : \

So it's been about a month since I last updated...well can't really blame though...nothing's really came up until recently...other than that...it's all been college, assignments, arcade, and loop those over and over again...

As for the 1st interesting thing that happened in my life in a month or so...it came in 3...in the form of assignments...though probably the fun and interesting kind...which I am thankful for...2 from my visual communications and 1 from public speaking...for those in visual comms I will have to design and make a learning book for children between ages 4-6...and the other is I'll have to make a 'Green'-shopping bag...the environmental friendly kind...with designs on it...Then it would be public speaking...we will be doing a speech assuming that me and my partner are running for the posts of President and Vice-President in a student council election...interesting stuff indeed...kinda nerve wrecking too...

2nd thing is that I finally get to learn the Basics of photography hands-on with my best friend ZH...the sad thing is...I'm actually taking the same subject in college...I took up the subject during course selection thinking it will have alot of practical work and less theories to bog down my mind with...apparently I was dead wrong about that...Since the start of this semester...we had nothing but theories on how to take photographs...You must be thinking 'WTF?' right now...yeah I was too...it was really all theories...how to do this and that and this and that...and the lecturer never really showed you how to do it...how to apply it in real life...I guess I could say that what he's been teaching so far is pretty much useless...It's nearly been 2 months since my 1st class of this subject...and I only had to take TWO photos so far...furthermore I need to sit through 3 hours of lecture straight every week...although it's not a good thing to do I really can't help but bring myself a newspaper when I'm going for that class...It's dead boring...I swear I felt like smashing my head to the wall at times cuz that really seemed more interesting during class times...Although it could also be said as a miracle that I haven't missed much of this class...

3rd would probably be my hobby...I already have enough money since last month...but I plan to wait it out and start the next one with ZH...so he'll get how to assemble stuff like this although it's pretty straight forward...but guidance is really better than nothing no? But anyhow...date is set for this one...I'll be getting the next one on July 4th...yeah...america's independence day...and so happens I'll be going for a MT3 team meeting during that day too...we'll probably be watching Transformers 2...having a more expensive lunch menu instead of the usual...I guess we have already accomplished what this team was originally made for...Just a bunch of friends fooling around...not fast enough to be a pro...but fast enough to give the pros a run for their money...we set out to show that we may not have as much money to throw onto the game...but we are as good as those who have...and that IMo has ben achieved quite some time ago...which is good...=D

Last but not least...which would really be a sad thing to say...my sister just informed me that a relative of mine who was once very close to me was diagnosed with cancer...My initial reaction is that I really don't know how to react to that...I knew he was sick but I didn't know it was that serious...furthermore we weren't as close as we used to be anymore...I guess when we make new friends our relationship with the older ones tend to get distant after some time...nevertheless we're still good with each other...but he looked fine the last I saw him...which was only a few days ago...what I don't understand is how did he get it though? It's just like one of those cases where a chain smoker lived well up to 80 years old before dying from old age and another perfectly healthy 25 year old man was diagnosed with lung cancer although he never touched a ciggarrette in his 25 years of existence...

Oh well...what happens happens...can't really put a stop to it...but I do hope they can treat it...and I hope it's not too late for it either...
